Aims of Lancashire Council of Mosques

· To provide capacity support to affiliated Mosques and Madrassas.
· To develop Nikah/Civil Marriage Registration facilities within the Mosque system.
· To create forums in different regions in order to bring together all the Muhtamims (Principals) of all Madrassas to create a common syllabus.
· Issue LCM Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the syllabus.
· To provide proactive assistance to all Mosques in order for them to develop Constitutions and acquire Charity status.

Objectives of Lancashire Council of Mosques

· Developing dialogue with affiliated Mosques in order for them to ascertain needs and support requirements.
· Highlighting issues of common concern to all Mosques and bringing them to the attention of Mosque administrators and external parties.
· Developing organisational expertise in relevant capacity support areas i.e. Charity Registration, Cultural Heritage Grants, Planning permission etc.
· Providing support and assistance to affiliated Mosques on a need basis.
